Jack of All Trades
For more than 30 years, Mary has worked in the tri-state (PA, NJ, DE) region teaching all levels of technology, photography, and design. Mary is currently an Associate Professor at Rowan College South Jersey and serves as the Program Coordinator for the Computer Graphic Art programs - Print Design and Game Design. Before Rowan, Mary was an assistant professor at LaSalle University in the computer science program. She has also taught at Philadelphia University's Instructional Technology program and Rosemont College's Digital Design program. Dedicated to teaching technology and design, Mary enjoys web design, social media, and print design work. But her true love is photography...not as a working professional but as an artist!
My Art and Photography are a means of creative expression for my soul. I am intrigued by how light impacts the making of images and the artist's manner that photos are created. I am fascinated how using computer graphic art software you can create digital paintings from your photographs.
I purchased my first interchangeable lens camera in 1984 when I was an intern for the Women’s Sports Foundation at the Los Angles Olympic Games. I was given access to behind the scenes where I made photos of the athletes. I have been fortunate to be able to travel and photography many parts of the United States and locations all over the world.
Rick Sammon, a world-famous photographer and educator has a saying: "I specialize in NOT specializing". I could not agree with a statement more.
